Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
First of all, we deeply apologize to the fans who cherish DAY6 for causing concern.
DAY6 held their 3RD WORLD TOUR concert in Jakarta on May 3rd.
Due to unsmooth operations while working with the local promoter to resolve issues, the on-site response and safety measures during adverse weather conditions were insufficient, resulting in delays to the sound check and the start of the main performance compared to the original schedule.
We sincerely apologize to the fans who experienced inconvenience while waiting for a long time in bad weather, and also to the artists who did their best for the fans despite the difficult circumstances.
We feel a heavy sense of responsibility regarding this matter.
In the future, we promise to do our utmost to care for the artists so they can focus solely on their performances under the best possible conditions, and to thoroughly monitor the on-site situation to ensure that fans can enjoy the concert comfortably and without inconvenience.
Once again, we sincerely apologize to all the fans who attended the DAY6 concert for causing concern. Thank you.
DAY6 and their agency JYP had signed a contract with the local promoter Mecima and rented the Jakarta International Stadium. However, Mecima later notified them of a venue change to Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium, citing a scheduled football match at the original venue. However, the football match was canceled, raising questions.
Furthermore, Mecima did not properly handle ticket transfers due to the venue change, nor did they manage operations adequately on the day of the concert, yet they have not issued an official apology. To make matters worse, heavy rain occurred locally, leading to a flood of complaints and protests from Jakarta fans, and the situation has also negatively affected DAY6.
